The California-specific Professional Geologist (PG) exam, known as the CSE, is required after passing the ASBOG® national exams to become licensed in California.
It focuses on state-specific topics including laws, regulations, geomorphology, mining, water resources, and geological hazards unique to California.
Administered by the California Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors, and Geologists (BPELSG), the CSE is a 3-hour, multiple-choice exam taken via computer at approved test centers.
Built using the official BPELSG CSE BluePrint and reference materials, it covers all key content areas with clarity and depth.
Organized into five timed quizzes of 95 questions (3 hours each) and one extra quiz for added mastery and perfect for simulating real test conditions.
Includes regulation-based, calculations, and conceptual questions to prepare you for the range of difficulty and similar format to the CSE.
Visit www.healcurar.com and go to the “CSE Practice Exam” tab to purchase a version of the timed practice exam completed online. Once you register and reset your password, you can login and begin the Lesson "How to Take This Practice Exam" at the bottom of the "CSE Practice Exam" page by expanding the Practice Exam Content section. Select and take a timed Quiz. You will get a result summary categorized by geology exam topics when you finish a Quiz. Once you register, you’ll be able to access your practice exam and continue quizzing yourself.
